I undertook a recent commission to photograph a new installation on Kilkenny’s Nore Linear Park – a linear path alongside the River Nore which flows through Kilkenny.
Kilkenny based Canice Architects created a new information panel at the site of the bridge built by Lady Desart in 1906 to link Talbot’s Inch with her woollen mill on the other side of the River Nore.
The steel suspension bridge was in place until a flood in 1947 destroyed it, the area long overgrown has now been cleared and an information panel created by Canice Architects to provide information on the bridge and the local area, the installation was made of materials relevant to the area and the bridge.
