‘Does it snow in Ireland?’ is a question that I get asked often.
Above here is a YouTube video showing snow in Ireland’s mountains from February 2018 when I hiked above the snowline to capture the beauty of those rugged, craggy rocks covered in snow.
It only lasts for a few days at a time usually and rarely sticks at lower altitudes but above 300m or 1,000ft there is a good possibility of finding the bright, white landscapes and the crunch and squeak of snow underfoot.
